My friend, Chad Reeves, called me up and asked if I wanted to go see some bull riding, and since I had never seen anything like this in person before I was definitely curious to check it out. The Professional Bull Riders was holding an event in Orlando called The Git-R-Done Invitational and it was a hoot 'n hollerin' good time!
The center of Amway Arena sits in complete silence with less than an hour before this prestigious event officially begins.
Then Chad and I showed up to start an uproar.
But before the tournament began I wished one of the bulls all the best like a like a good sport.
Larry The Cable Guy and his cowboy bodyguard had the honor of initiating the Git-R-Done Invitational, but before they did Mr. Cable Guy talked about how much fun him and the cowboy bodyguard had at Disney World earlier in the day.
It's time to start this thing and what better way to begin a bull riding tournament than with pyrotechnics!
Followed by small fireworks!
The real-life cowboys make their way out individually....
.....along with a real-life video shot on a real-life jumbo screen.
A few of them were camera shy and hid behind their real-life cowboy hats.
After going through the lengthy bull rider lineup another round of fireworks go off informing the crowd that the real-life cowboys are saddlin' up!
BUT WAIT, WHAT'S THIS.....
.....a few real-life bulls make the rounds to let everyone know that this is their house tonight!
After all of the pre-shows I think it's almost time for the main one!
Flint, the rodeo clown, struts across the dirt like he owns the place. Apparently he didn't know the real-life bulls owned the house.
And it's time for some ridin'!!!
Larry The Cable Guy was having a great time, but his night became even better when he saw himself on the real-life jumbo screen.
But Flint didn't like how he was stealing the show.....
.....so he had to pull out his "A Material" to win back the crowd.
But no one seemed to like it all that much so he began to do some childish name-calling to most of the spectators in the front row.
After getting shot by a real-life six shooter a real-life cowboy asked him to get up so they can get on with the tournament.
LET'S SEE WHAT THIS COWBOY'S GOT!!!
The bull gives him the old tumble weed maneuver.....
.....and hits the dirt curling up in a fetal position.
While the next bull rider saddles up Flint shows off to the crowd how he can stretch in mid-air.
This bull didn't like how Flint was trying to steal the show, so the bull was ready to start up a nasty brawl with him.
But this real-life cowboy didn't allow it since the competition needed to keep moving on.
"WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! MOVING ON!!!!!"
I was excited to see more real-life bull riding, but was worried that Flint was going to show off very soon.
And sure enough he was back on the scene.
This time Flint managed to find someone in the crowd to start up a good ol' fashion hoedown.
Then he headed back down so he could skip around in the dirt.
A bullfighter gets the bull's attention while the rider flies off from the rear.
The tournament came to a complete halt because this real-life cowboy wanted to give Shorty, the bullfighter, a real-life jumbo check for all his hard work.
It's time for another round!
This doesn't look like it's gonna be pretty.....
.....definitely not gonna be pretty.
Let's see how this guy does.
WOW!!! So far so good!
I was so impressed that I wanted to get a closer view...but I think it was a little too close.
This rider was thrilled after receiving a fantastic score.....
.....but Flint wasn't too thrilled with him getting all of the attention.
I seriously should have gone back to my seat before Mr. Willingham started his ride.
...after getting crushed by a fall bull rider the crew dragged me off the dirt, and Flint presented a jumbo check to Mr. Willingham for flattening me.
Now it's time to shoot a bunch of crap out of pickup truck and into the crowd!
Ain't nothin' better than rodeo bucks.
They made their way over to the other side to give the other spectators some rodeo lovin' as well.
I found a real-life jumbo rodeo bull balloon and took it out for a spin.
After about an hour of intense riding I managed to tame the inflatable beast and steered him over to my seat.
Then I jumped off and joined Chad right before the next round of bull riding.
GO, MAN, GO!!!!!
He failed to tame the bull.
I decided to help out the bullfighters by doing a light jog in the dirt to distract the bull from hurting the rider.
This bull is a mean one.....
.....but the rider manages to hold on.
Although it wasn't for too much longer.
The bull makes its way around the arena but the real-life cowboy won't allow it.
He gets the bull in one throw.....
.....but he isn't in any hurry to leave just yet.
Time for another ride!
Which also means for another dismount!
Flint tells him he had a good ride but next time he better not try to gather up attention from another dismount OR ELSE THERE'S GONNA BE TROUBLE!!!!!
Two cowboys get a V.I.P. viewing of the last ride.
They didn't seem too thrilled.
However, this guy seemed to have a thrilling time.
After all of that riding apparently this guy won.
IT'S OVER!!!!!
Chad was clearly amazed from the tournament as he was heading out the exit door.
I hardly knew what was going on, but was still excited to view real-life bull riding with my own two eyes!
YEEEEEHHHHAAAAAAAWWWWWW!!!!!! THAT'S THE END!!!!
