Sea World Ride Tacklin'

Last time, we left off with me, Ray and Javan roaming the mad streets of Sea World as we celebrated Javan's birthday filled with sea water, fresh water and menacing stuffed animals. It was a great day but there was one thing that we didn't have time to do, which was to go on the rides. You can't go to a theme park and not go on at least a few rides, but that lousy unpredictable Florida weather wasn't cooperating during the late afternoon and the rides were shut down. But since we have passes to get us in for the rest of the year we knew it wouldn't be long for us to return to the park and make our presence known as we attempt to conquer the fearsome Sea World rides. And as a bonus we had more friends come along for the fun!

Photobucket
We spotted the Sea World sign so we figured we were heading in the right direction.

Photobucket
We're back!

Photobucket
Keith, Javan and Josh are ready to tackle this beast.

Photobucket
For safety precautions, Josh always looks for the closest possible exit before riding any theme park attraction, but he was unable to search for the designated signs.

Atlantis drop!

Photobucket
Front row will get you wet.

Photobucket
It was time to try and ride Kraken once again.

Photobucket
Josh is ready to tackle this beast.

Photobucket
We just got off Kraken and I was scared stiff as I pointed at what we just went on.

Photobucket
I was still scared stiff as other people looped by.

Photobucket
My co-worker, Ted, noticed I was Twittered all day long at Sea World and he happened to be there with his son, Lucas. We caught up for a brief moment and documented this historical moment of Ted's first appearance in my blog!

Photobucket
Me and Josh were having way too much fun with clay pots.

Photobucket
Javan had a little bit of trouble.

Photobucket
Josh had a blast trying to keep his water in a cup and thought it was way better than any theme park ride.

Photobucket
Finally, we went over to Manta to tackle this beast.

Photobucket
Me and Javan show off our coaster tacklin' faces.

Photobucket
Me, Keith, Josh, Mollie and Javan waited underwater for a little less than an hour and remarkably we all came out alive.

Photobucket
We tackled...we conqureed....we want to go home now.

Photobucket
But before we left Shamu and I practiced for National High Five Day, which is always the third Thursday of April SO REMEMBER!

Photobucket
After another fun day at Sea World Javan and I both agree the real fun is at the parking lot.

THE END!!!!!

Javan's B-Day at Sea World

Javan wanted to do something fun for his birthday and I told him to count me in for whatever. He decided to go to Sea World and so I asked him, "did you count me in?" He did, which was nice of him to do. We headed out in the morning and here's what happened.....

Photobucket
I got Javan a huge cinnamon roll complete with birthday candles...I couldn't find a 7 so I had to improvise.

Photobucket
Shark cup + jumbo Spider-Man pen = best birthday presents ever.

Photobucket
While we were heading over to Sea World Javan stopped along the way to rob a bank.

Photobucket
He forgot I had a camera.....

Photobucket
.....but he didn't really care all that much.

Photobucket
It's time to leave the bank.....

Photobucket
.....and go to Sea World.

Photobucket
The parking lot was really exciting....

Photobucket
.....but not as exciting as getting crushed by a plastic killer whale.

Photobucket
Javan thought the Shamu lighthouse was a nice touch to the park.

Photobucket
I thought penguins on the wall were a nice touch to the park.

Photobucket
Javan and I are ready to see some kind of sea lion show.

Photobucket
Before the show started the audience was mildly entertained by a clueless pirate mime.

Photobucket
Seeing this fake pirate ship cemented into the ground completely took me out of the show, which was okay because the story was hard enough for me to follow.

Photobucket
The captain abandons his fake pirate ship.

Photobucket
A sea lion follows his lead.

Photobucket
Shark?

Photobucket
False alarm. It's just a sea lion, which is even more scary.

Photobucket
This was pretty much the only thing this fella could do. It was entertaining.

Photobucket
Javan found Shamu Stadium so we decided to see that show next.

Photobucket
We sat in the front row and waited patiently to see what they have to offer here.

Photobucket
A killer whale popped out of the water a few times, which was impressive enough since I don't see that every day.

Photobucket
The whale didn't look like it was in the best of shape so it had to take a little bit of a breather in the middle of the show.....

Photobucket
.....about ten minutes later it was back out for some more jumping.

Photobucket
A Shamu trainer fears for her life hoping that she won't get eaten.

Photobucket
The killer whales make two trainers play patty cake or else they become lunch.

Photobucket
The trainers did well so the whales launched them off of their noses and allowed them to live another day.

Photobucket
One of the trailers thought she was in the clear, but one of the whales followed her out of the tank hoping to take a bite when she wasn't looking.

Photobucket
The trainer merrily ran away but the whale continued to stalk her.

Photobucket
Shamu finally decided to show up.

Photobucket
It came over our way.....

Photobucket
.....and splashed us real good.

Photobucket
After getting the audience soaked Shamu was on the prowl for some tasty trainers.

Photobucket
Shamu is way too self-absorbed with how large he is and the way he has to show off to the tourists.

Photobucket
The grand finale of the show consisted of a trainer rounding up all the wild killer whales and showed them who's boss by surfing on them in front of hundreds of people to point and laugh.

Photobucket
The show really struck an emotional chord for Javan. You can tell he truly believes.

Photobucket
We were lucky enough to meet one of the few surviving trainers from the show.

Photobucket
I discovered an area with real ice in Florida.

Photobucket
I also discovered a fake ice cave in Florida.

Photobucket
Javan was waiting for this bomb to go off, but apparently it had malfunctioned. He was very disappointed.

Here is a walrus.

Photobucket
Javan was trapped inside of the walrus tank, but I rescued him and he was fine after a minutes. I won't bore you with the details of how I saved him so let's move on with more pictures.

Beluga fight!

Photobucket
The Coco-Cola bear was getting mighty angry at Javan for strangling one of her cubs and telling it that Pepsi products are better.

Photobucket
I had a good laugh at Javan but then I had my own problems with a fake shark assault.

Photobucket
I could totally take him in a wrestling match.

Photobucket
Javan and Shamu pose for the camera.

Photobucket
Now it's my turn.....

Photobucket
....."QUICK TAKE THE PICTURE!"

Shamu!

Photobucket
We were hoping to see some sharks at this spot.

Photobucket
I get scared easily...even by drawings on the wall.

Photobucket
Now I'm no marine biologist, but this ain't no shark!

Photobucket
Alas, I didn't get any good shark pictures...but I did get attacked by a fake Grover.

Photobucket
Javan and I took a picture with our new underwater friend, whom I hope is okay since the camera was set on a 30 second timer. We didn't look behind us to check if she went up to the surface because there was still too much to see at the park.

Photobucket
For instance, PENGUINS!!!!!

Photobucket
The penguins off to the side were a bit snooty, and if there's one thing I can't stand it's a snooty penguin!

Photobucket
I took a quick swim around in the arctic sea, but then one of the snooty penguins jabbed me in the arm.....

Photobucket
.....so Javan pushed me out of the way and ate it.

Photobucket
The tiny ones were really freakin' cute.....

Photobucket
.....but while I was distracted by the wee little penguins I was attacked by a fake penguin.

Photobucket
Javan said he wanted to go see the dolphin show next and all of a sudden Ray showed up exclaiming, "DOLPHINS!!!!! I LOVE DOLPHINS!!!!!"

Photobucket
Ray provided some nice pre-show entertainment before the dolphins came out.

Photobucket
The show began with a battle between a girl and a dolphin.

Photobucket
The dolphin couldn't get too far when the girl was on her feet.

Photobucket
Then this guy came over and was totally showing off in front of the girl. I nearly threw up.

Photobucket
The humans were taunting the dolphins and their high pitch voices.

Photobucket
The dolphins were teaming up for a plan to pummel the humans.....

Photobucket
.....but the humans had the first strike by bombarding themselves into the water.

Photobucket
Then that same guy who likes to show off was demonstrating to all of the ladies in the audience how he water skis without a boat.

Photobucket
Now the dolphins are angry.

Photobucket
And it turned into a huge battle between man and aquatic beast!

Photobucket
The show was getting a little too PG-13 so we had to leave.

Photobucket
I found a stingray that probably didn't want to be touched.....

Photobucket
.....but I touched it anyway!

Photobucket
And then I touched about 30 more.

Photobucket
Javan was worried I was going to get some sort of disease.

Photobucket
Ray was also a little concerned for my health.

Photobucket
But what better way to get your mind off of mortality than to look at manatees!

Photobucket
Javan agrees.

Photobucket
Ray wanted to touch them.

Photobucket
I came closer.

Photobucket
Manatees underwater are just as cute and obese.

Photobucket
Such a mysterious creature.

Photobucket
Ray won the contest on who can come closest to touching a manatee.

Photobucket
He also won the contest on who is willing to take a bite out of a sea horse shaped bush.

Photobucket
I continued to win the contest on who gets the bitten by the most fake animals after being attacked by a fake stingray.

Photobucket
I enjoyed taking some time out of the day to watch some yellow fish swim by in a fairly normal-sized aquarium.

Fish!

Photobucket
I like animals that don't assault me when I'm not looking.....

Photobucket
.....unlike fake flamingos!

Photobucket
Ray looks at the starving sea lions.

Photobucket
They wait patiently for buckets of fish or small children falling over the ledge.

Photobucket
The waiting eventually paid off.

Photobucket
An ugly-looking bird tried to get in on some of the fish-eating action.

Photobucket
Poor hungry sea lions.

Photobucket
If I was a sea lion looking for tourists to throw me fish I would totally take the high ground.

Photobucket
But the sea lion on the low ground is certainly not giving up!

Photobucket
Gulp.

Photobucket
It was now time to ride the beast known as the Kraken.

Photobucket
Ray was a tidbit excited.

Photobucket
But alas, as we were waiting in line they close the ride down due to "inclement weather heading towards Sea World." This was the closest I could get to riding the beast.....

Photobucket
.....but it ended up being pretty action-packed nonetheless!

Photobucket
Ray was also sad we couldn't go on the Manta ride, which is the latest and greatest.

Photobucket
But even though we didn't get to go on any of the rides we can still go back to the park some other time during the year. So don't worry Sea World...WE'LL BE BACK!

To be continued.....
