BriGuy 28th B-Day Bash Extravaganza
It was time for another birthday party and I really wanted to keep up the tradition of playing mini-golf with friends. Things were not looking too good in terms of the weather since it was in the lower 30's on the day of the party. Luckily, an indoor mini-golf course nearby opened up during the summer, so most of the group headed out there for this first-class celebration. It was a lot of fun and to be honest I don't think I could ask for a better 28th birthday blast. It is quite a blessing to have so many amazing people in my life who are willing to take some time to party it up with me!
To start off the festivities we all had lunch over at Johnny's FIllin' Station!
Jeremiah surprised me by giving me a gift...and then surprised me again by addressing me as Crusher.....
.....and then he surprised me AGAIN because the gift was a one-of-a-kind DRAGON KINFE! It's sort of an inside joke, but you should laugh no matter what because it's just that great.
I am now officially a man since I possess a Dagger Of Myth!
Josh, Alison Keith, Mollie and Javan wait patiently for their food.
Erin, Chad, Jeremiah, Robert, Julie C. and Del enjoy not waiting patiently for their food.
Tony, Rose, Melanie and Brian also enjoy the fillin' of Johnny's food.
Jodi, Heather, me, Liz and Darren came really late so we had to deal with the hunger.
Robert and Julie C. gave me a present as well. It was ANOTHER dragon knife!
Now I am definitely a man!
After lunch we all headed over to Winter Garden to play some indoor mini-golf.
By the looks of this sign I had a great feeling about this place!
It was finally time to play some mini-golf.
Black lights and neon paint is a winning combination!
Chad was a little psyched.
This course was ridiculously awesome!
Javan gathers a crowd to watch him putt.
Keith, Heather, Jodi and Liz are willing to take the risk of indoor putt putt.
Julie T. makes a new friend!
Darren prefers to stay above the fake quicksand.
Del tunes out heckling when it's his turn to putt.
Everyone seems to be mesmerized by the red mini-golf ball.
The group tries to figure out how to play the next hole.
Manda!
Del prepares to pounce on someone's mini-golf ball like a freakin' snow leopard.
This would have been a great picture of Jeremiah and Javan if I had not jumped in at the last second.
After walking by this happy lil' pumpkin I was a bit apprehensive to play the next hole.
This vampire thought he was among his kind with vampire bats, but little did he know they were just the lame regular bats you can see anywhere on monkey bars.
Josh busts out the fancy moves.
The mutant zombie monster would try to keep out of sight in the corner, but it just wasn't possible with all of the black lights illuminating his massive mutant body!
Behold, the horrific shaking mutant zombie monster!
Me and Javan were frightened by this guy...mostly because we weren't sure if he was going to shake so hard it would fall on top of us. So we hurried up and played through this hole as quickly as possible.
Javan tried his best to blend in with the cool characters.
Everyone continued to make their way through the horrific mini-golf course of doom!
Danger Box!
Chad wasn't the least bit scared of the Danger Box.
But I can assure you I was tremendously scared of this guy!
Josh and Alison were so focused on monster mini-golf that they had no idea they were interrupting a zombie baseball game.
Liz was well aware of the zombie baseball game but that wasn't going to stop her from playing on.
Both me and Javan thought this dragon would go well on a ginormous knife!
You can't play monster mini-golf without doing the Thriller dance at some point!
The dragon only wanted to hang out with Javan so I found a better friend.
We were finally reaching the end of the monster course.....
.....where we met up with the one and only Boss Clown.
The Boss Clown insisted it would be in our mini group picture. No one argues with the Boss Clown!
Judging by Stacy and Malek's smiles they probably had a good time.
It was time for a massive group picture...and this time the mutant zombie monster insisted on being in it as well.
Del showered me with more gifts before we left.
A few of us headed back over to my place to hang out.....
.....and to watch Del shoot virtual deer on the television.
It was intense!
Jeremiah wanted to take a crack at it.
Then it was Erin's turn!
I had mentioned a few days before that if people want to stay over and watch a movie after mini-golf they are more than welcome to. I suggested Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs because I think the movie is hilarious. In honor of the animated movie Julie T. surprised everyone with a spaghetti and meatballs birthday cake! It was really good.
Hooray.
Now it's back to virtual shooting.
GET THAT BUCK!!!!!
AND THAT ONE!!!!!
EXTRA POINTS FOR SHOOTING THE MATRIX BUCKS!!!!!
DON'T SHOOT THE DOE!!!!!
While most people were watching virtual deer running around Julie T. was cutting the cake with a regular knife. Maybe next time someone will make good use of the dragon knives!
It was great to hang out with Chad and Erin for the whole day.
The remaining party people are ready to watch a movie.
THE MOVIE IS OVER!!!!! That was fast.
Javan and I continued the birthday celebration in the kitchen.
We spent the remaining moments of the birthday party by standing on one leg. I'm not sure if this will become as popular of a tradition as mini-golf, but I guess we'll just have to see what happens next year.
THE END!!!!!
