Michael came down from New York CIty to visit me for a third time since I've lived here in Florida. It's always a lot of fun to hang out with him.
I got a call on my cell phone and found out Michael was in town.....
.....so I stopped by the airport and he gave me his typical NYC greeting.
Michael does his best to make these kinds of greetings as long-lasting as possible.
We're off!
We met up with some of my friends for some good ol' Mexican food.
Robert and I enjoy our chimichangas.
Stacy, Malek and Ray enjoy the night without the satisfaction of a chimi.
I accept Michael's Star Trek shirt.
Michael was done with pictures for the night.
But everyone else was just getting started!
The next day I was excited to try out a mini golf course that has a buffet.....
.....with pizza.....
.....that you can eat.....
.....WHAT A DEAL!!!!!
Since Michael is such a huge Tolkien fan he was ready to play on the Mount Doom course.
He was having a blast!
More proof of Michael having fun!
Michael tries to concentrate on his putt while the roaring waters of the Mount flow by.
I discovered a back way into Mount Doom, which probably could have come in handy for d'em Hobbits.
Michael takes the shot.....
.....Michael notices the camera.....
.....Michael gives the NYC greeting.
Hangin' out at the Mount.
Tiki faces are okay to hang out with.
One Tiki face wouldn't stop talking so Michael shut it up real good.
After having too much fun we decided to leave Mount Doom forever.
We drove around for a bit and discovered an outside museum.
But then we realized it was some kind of weird restaurant...so we went inside to make fun of it.
Michael couldn't believe what was inside.
I was amazed at how close we could get to these real robotic dinosaurs.....
.....and even more amazed at getting close to the flat plastic ones.
This is what the prehistoric age looked like according to Disney scientists.
This fella was by far the most annoying, thus making it the most funny.
They did their best caught-in-headlights impression.
I freaked out a little when this robot dino came out from the shadows and begged me for oil.
Michael is never impressed with baby mammoths when there are larger robotic dinosaurs in his presence.
You see? Michael is much more impressed.
After all that fun it was time to leave.....
.....and take one picture at Planet Hollywood.
We went to the other side of Orlando and ate a Five Guys joint like regular shmoes.
Michael was disappointed there were no robots while we ate.
As long as I can get my hands on a Five Guys burger I'll be fine!
I'm sure I deserved this...whatever I had said.
As you can see Michael enjoyed his meal.....
.....but he enjoyed the Florida sun even more after eating a heavy burger.
He couldn't take the sun for much longer so we went home to lay low for a while.
Later at night we went to a dueling piano bar because they're really cool to see in case you haven't heard.
Michael felt much better at this point.
It was fun to hear some good music.....
.....along with hanging out with a good roommate (a.k.a. Javan)!
The next day I took Michael to Gatorland and he was tremendously excited.
My impression of dental floss was not tremendously unfunny.
Michael found some gators 'n turtles.
They were very lively.
We were also greeted at the front by the jolliest gator in all of Gatorland.
It was a jolly moment indeed.
Michael found another gator.....
.....I named him Blinky.
Michael made sure to greet a few of the gators.
Then I made sure to get a normal picture that was greet-free.
I was going to say hello to this gator, but I could see it in his eyes he couldn't be trusted.....
.....so instead I decided to hang out with another gator that I could easily cover up his eyes.
Michael enjoyed his time with a non-reptile for a bit.
We went to see a gator wrestling show even though the alligator really didn't seem like it wanted to be a part of the show.
That's when this dude was like, "shut yo' mouth gator 'n do wha I say!"
At this point this dude kept asking the gator, "who's it's daddy was?" The gator had to respond in front of all the tourists...that must have been embarrassing.
After the wrestling show we went on a lovely walk in the swamp.
It was a little more fun without the NYC greetings.
Michael was not impressed with the swamp.
I was staying busy keeping my eyes away from the sun.
The walkways went on for a while.
We finished the swamp walk and Michael gives his review on the experience.
White gator!
This guy challenged Michael in a staring contest.....
.....which he was determined to win.
I thought the staring contest was boring so I met up with some Macaws.
I came at a good time!
Then the parrot on the right wanted to break up the relationship.....
.....the parrot on the left didn't take it so well.
The neighbor parrots had a good time watching the drama unfold.
So did I.
This makes me laugh every time because it sort of looks like a flower pot landed on this gator's head.
Michael had enough of this place so now it's time to go.
I told Michael about a mini golf course at Walt Disney World where it sort of looks like a real golf course...so we went to check it out.
Michael was really excited about getting defeated.
I'm off!
Michael's off!
The courses were nice, but it's very easy to go out of bounds.
But I'm way awesome so that won't stop me.
I do my best to get it out of the pit.
Michael takes a shot to the hole.....
.....then he takes a shot at me.
And now Michael resumes to the game.
I'm ready to resume as well!
But then Michael takes another shot!
My best impression of Michael yet.
T'was a glorious evening to play a game of professional mini golf.
Michael thought differently about the recreation.
It was time to finish up on the last hole and end the game.
Then we went to eat at Giordano's since it's our favorite pizza place, and it's also become a Florida tradition for us to eat there when we're together.
Michael thinks it's a good tradition.
I agree.
Another tradition we have now is to get a picture of us at the Universal globe at City Walk.....
.....so we got it.
Michael always looks dramatic when he doesn't know I'm taking a picture.
Time to go!
The next day we headed over to Walt Disney World for a day at the park.
Michael started to give the NYC greetings right away.
As you can see, Michael was also excited to take a boat over to the park.
The boat took us to Disney's Hollywood Studios so we figured this was fine.
Twins with the same ticket!
Good hat shot.
Good sign shot.
Good Tower of Terror shot.
I was scared (as always) but that doesn't stop me from going on the ride.
As we continued to approach the hotel Michael didn't seem to be scared.....
.....but that began to change right before we boarded the ride.
Here we are on the ride!
Then it was time to go on the Toy Story ride, which is even more terrifying.
Michael loves to wait in line.
I find it only enjoyable when a blue monkey is present.
Mr. Potato Head is not a fan of monkeys.
Me and my big fat head had to ruin the shot!
It was time to play the game!
I won!
I had to get a picture of this since it's classic Pixar...and because I'm a nerd/loser.
Michael was hoping to be impressed by this stunt show.
It's about to begin!
I filmed this before in a previous blog...but I filmed it again. Since I'm a huge nerd/loser.
It's over!
Hooray for cars and explosions!
Next, we went over to Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.....
.....and met the ONE AND ONLY Aerosmith.
I thought it slightly rocked.
I like to stand in the middle of fake New York City streets.
Michael gave it a try.
We met some mouse wearing a lame hat.
Michael found a bigger hat complete with a gift shop underneath, which makes it way better.
Then we met up with a few vehicles that kept making stupid faces.
I don't mind snow for a little bit, BUT I ESPECIALLY HATE THE PLASTIC KIND!!!!!
I wasn't sure why Michael left on this Star Wars hover thing-a-ma-jig.....
.....then I found out why.
He ended up going back to the fake New York City street to give it another go-round.
Time to see another stunt show. But this time it's with less cars and more Indiana Jones.
I filmed some of it if you would like to take a look.
We were in awe of the Harrison Ford stunt double.
Michael was excited to go on Tower of Terror again.
Michael wasn't having much fun waiting in line.....
.....but he quickly fixed that problem.
I filmed it again!
Then we went on Rock 'n' Roller Coaster one more time and I filmed the beginning.
We look pretty rad.
After the ride it was time to head out.
Good hat shot pt. 2.
Michael helped the fake Coke guy stock up the park with soda so the tourists would be ready to quench their thirst for tomorrow.
We had a fun time at the park.....
.....and Michael had a fun time greeting tourists at the exit.
The next morning we decided to shoot a few new episodes of Twin Show.
Behind-the-Scenes shot #1
Behind-the-Scenes shot #2
Behind-the-Scenes shot #3
Behind-the-Scenes shot #4
Behind-the-Scenes shot #5
Behind-the-Scenes shot #6
Behind-the-Scenes shot #7
Behind-the-Scenes GRAND FINALE!!!!!
Michael had to get going to the airport soon so we went to Lake Eola for a bit to hang out.
It was a lovely stroll around the lake.
One way to tell us a part is that Michael walks like a swan.
Michael finally had enough with me taking pictures after several days together.
Luckily for him it was time for him to go to the airport.
He's got a lot of crap.
And it was a good thing he remembered to take his coat.
I always get a little glum when Michael and I have to go our separate ways, but I think my twin might think differently.
I told him to stop greeting the camera for once.
It was fun while it lasted and I know I'm definitely looking forward to seeing Michael again. Hopefully it will be sooner than later!
The End.
